All eligible Viterbi faculty, students, and staff must use the below URL for an initial sign-on to initialize Grammarly Premium account under the Viterbi license:

After USC SSO and DUO 2FA, if you are qualified for the Grammarly Premium account under the Viterbi license, you will be presented with the below screen:

If you are not qualified for the Grammarly Premium account under the Viterbi license, you will be presented with the below screen:

For subsequent logins, all qualified users can go through the regular Grammarly Sign In page at:

https://www.grammarly.com/signin

On the Grammarly Sign In page, enter your USC official email address, for example, trojan@usc.edu.

For eligible Viterbi faculty, students, and staff with an existing personal Grammarly account, you can either keep it separate or join the Viterbi license. If your personal account is of the premium version and you decide to join the Viterbi license, you can either pause your personal account or request a refund for the remaining period of your personal subscription.

If you are currently using your official USC email address such as trojan@usc.edu for your personal Grammarly account, during your initial sign-on process, you will be presented with the option to join the University of Southern California, Viterbi School of Engineering Grammarly account. If you are ready to join your personal account to the Viterbi license, click the Join your school button; otherwise, click the Maybe later” link.

If you would like to keep your personal account and join the Viterbi license separately, you must first change the email address for your personal account. This step is necessary to avoid conflict with your Grammarly Premium account under the Viterbi license. You can change the email address for your personal account to your alternate USC email address such as tommy.trojan@usc.edu, or your non-USC email address.

Yes. Faculty on secondary appointment with Viterbi will need to use the Viterbi Service Desk tool in the myViterbi portal, https://myviterbi.usc.edu to submit a ticket requesting manual inclusion to Viterbi license. Once your secondary appointment with Viterbi is verified and your request is processed, you shall go to the Viterbi-specific initial sign-on link to initialize your Grammarly Premium account under the Viterbi license:

You can pause your account when you switch to the Viterbi School’s subscription. If a refund is desired, you can go to your account page and select “Request a Refund” to be refunded for the remaining period of your individual subscription. If you don’t request a refund, your individual subscription will remain paused until you are removed from the Viterbi School’s subscription
